Karat - Sky over St. Peterburg
Born in 1958 in Regensburg, Wolfgang M?ler뭩 entry into the world of photography is recent. Following intense involvement in social movements and work as an artisan in Frankfurt, he sought to enter the arts through theater and painting, but during a trip he discovered that photography was his chosen route to the world of art. He began studying photography in 1997 at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund where he studied under Prof. Arno Fischer and in 2002 he received his diploma in photo design with top marks.
In 1998 he undertook an extensive documentary project on the homeless in Odessa entitled 밢dessa Final Stop? and which in Italy won recognition at the Memorial Mario Giacomelli 2002 as one of the best works presented. It was published in the catalog of the award winners and shown in two collectives in Brescia and Milan at the Galleria Grazia Neri in March 2003.
밙ARAT - Sky over St. Petersburg?(2000-2001), his second major social documentary project, deals with the question of youths without homes or families in St. Petersburg.
